Overview

Everything built here, in one place

Client projects, our own tools and the work in the Vendure ecosystem belong together: what I learn on projects ends up in the tools, and what comes out of the community lands back on the projects. This page is the curated overview, with links into the detail.

Client projects

A marketplace, a shop and a SaaS: three very different systems, all in production. The full case studies with task, stack and result live under Projects.

fainin | 2-share.de

As co-founder and CTO I built Germany's largest peer-to-peer rental marketplace entirely on Vendure, with bookings instead of purchases, KYC verification and split payouts. Over 20 custom Vendure plugins, an Nx monorepo, an Angular storefront and iOS and Android apps.

ProCommerce (Shopware 6)

A premium theme and plugin for Shopware 6, grown out of a real client project on early Shopware 6 and listed in the official Shopware Store. That production experience is what my Vendure versus Shopware comparison rests on, rather than second-hand opinion.

BusinessDesk

A SaaS for the back office of a road and civil engineering company: invoices, projects and customer management in one tool instead of spreadsheets. Angular, Node.js, FeathersJS and MongoDB, in production for years and still being extended.

Ecosystem

Open source and community

Anyone offering Vendure development should be visible in the ecosystem. I have been in it since the beta, not just as a user: as a contributor, speaker, community moderator and roundtable host. All of it is public and checkable.

vendure-nx

A production-ready Nx monorepo template for Vendure, maintained in the official Vendure organisation on GitHub. It bundles the setup I had rebuilt by hand across several projects, so a new team does not start from zero.

Vendure Conf 2024 - Speaker

My talk "What Would Vendure Do?" at Vendure Conf 2024 in Vienna, recorded and public on YouTube. It is about making decisions inside Vendure that survive a framework upgrade.

Vendure Voices - Episode 1

The first episode of Vendure's interview series, where I talk through how fainin was built as a peer-to-peer marketplace on Vendure. It covers the points where a rental model does not fit a commerce framework, and how we solved them.

Community moderation and roundtables

I moderate the Vendure community and host the community roundtables, most recently on "Vendure + AI". That is where I see what other teams are struggling with, long before it shows up in release notes or docs.

Facts

The facts, in short

If you prefer facts over prose, the founder, the location in Teltow near Berlin, the services and the references are all on one compact page.

Does one of these look like your project?

Tell me what you want to build and I will tell you what is realistic about it and where the risks sit.
